He attended SUNY College at Buffalo, earning Bachelors Fine Art in 1979 followed by a Masters in 1989, at the University of Washington. Davis has lived in Seattle since1981 actively painting. His self-portrait done on a round canvas with a fish-eye perspective, won first prize at the Frye Art Museum¹s annual Puget Sound Area Exhibition in 1984. While his small but abundant oil studies of the human figure are notable, landscapes dominate his work, often with a sense of irony in his more prosaic views: usual sights not usually painted. Such urban scenes are like a counterpoint to his obvious love for natural vistas. Click here to see more of David's work.

Memorial ARTHUR NORBY is a sculptor who meets challenges and breaks stereotypes. Arthur Norby continues to expand the aura of his sculpture and paintings. He has been an artist as long as he can remember, although he pursued several careers before turning to art as a career. It wasn’t until the age of thirty-eight that Norby found his destined role as a "real artist." Promising himself one year as an artist was the decision which began a twenty-five year career and a reputation as a truly creative artist. His style is easy to recognize but hard to define. He has been a life-long student of the human figure in art and a disciple of classical presentation. Because he has been frequently sought to create site-specific commissioned sculptures Norby has created bronzes ranging from national field champion dogs to actors, to prized horses and loved children or parents. Interspersed with his commissions are a wide collection of large and small sculptures about rodeo clowns, cowboys and ballet dancers. By indulging his imagination Norby has developed a collection of sculpture that is truly unique.
Glen's style is representative but with enough abstraction to create a painting, that has some mystery to it. Plein-air is his preference but when the weather doesn't cooperate his photos and sketches are used in his studio. His interests and subjects are varied and collections throughout the world. Most recently, he exhibited at the Poriginal Gallery in Finland and at the Washington State History Museum. He currently exhibits in Seattle at the Fine Impressions Gallery.
