Tom Wells was born 1916 in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the Marine Historical Societies of Seattle, San Diego, San Francisco, New York; Marie Hamn, Finland; Square Riggers Club International, Cape Horners Associations of Great Britain and Australia; and a life member of the Puget Sound Group. Much of his work reflects his lifelong love of ships and the sea. A product of the Yale School of Fine Arts, his work is included in the permanent collections of the Seattle Art Museum.
William Werrbach is a Seattle native born in 1925 and a serious painter for more than fifty years. His paintings have been honored with awards and one-man shows in museums and galleries, and are enjoyed by serious collectors as well as the public. An alumnus of the Art Students League of New York he studied with world famous painter Yasuo Kuniyoshi. He served for seven years on the Washington State Arts Commission and over ten years on the Art Advisory Board of the Seattle Community College. He has been interviewed on radio, his paintings featured on television, and been the subject of various written articles. Seattle’s Frye Art Museum presented Werrbach with its prestigious Adolphe Monticelli Award. He was one of four persons nominated for the National Walter Hirtens Award given in recognition for a lifetime of effort to improve artists rights and working conditions. Steve Whitney is an award-winning painter in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, whose paintings in all three media have appeared in national juried shows. He is also a juried member of Oil Painters of America, and recently qualified candidate for signature membership in both the Northwest and Montana watercolor societies, and a member of the Eastside Association of Fine Arts and the Woodinville Art Association. Steve teaches oil and acrylic painting at the Arts Umbrella in Bothell. He is represented by the Kaewyn Gallery in Bothell, WA, and the Roby-King Gallery in Bainbridge Island, WA.
Born and educated in Seattle, he attended Seattle Community College Commercial Art Program. A serious accident in 1975 resulted in paralysis yet Brom continues to paint holding his brushes in his teeth. He served as President of PSGNWP in 1992- 1993. 2003: We deeply regret the recent passing of our
dear friend Bob Wikstrom. Following national service in WWII Robert Wilkstrom attended Los Angeles Art Center, then named Jepson Art. He won the Children's Illustration Contest selected from a group of 4,000 entries judged by Norman Rockwell, Ben Shahn and Albert Dorne. Robert is a past president of the PSGNWP and father of five sons, two being members of the PSGNWP.
William Wikstrom showed regularly at the Jackson Street Gallery during 1980's. He paints, prints, sculpts, does performance arts, set design, and curates art shows for Bumbershoot. William operates his own gallery called Arthead in Wallingford.
Born 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona, James began the study of art history in the 1960 ’s and the study of the craft of painting in 1980 with such notable artists as Sergei Bongart and Ron Lukas. He began exhibiting in 1987.As an oil painter, James ’s focus is as a colorist is on contemporary impressionism. He was inducted as member in 1990.
Born in Texas he later moved to Washington State. Self taught, he began painting and drawing as a child. He’s had many one man shows and participated in numerous group shows over his thirty year career. He was a featured artist at Bumbershoot in 1998 and he’s been a member of the Puget Sound Group since 1990.
