Lyle Silver Video Interview

PSGNA

The latest video in our historical video interview project has been released! Shot by Sam Roberts, a student at the Art Institute of Seattle, this video features PSG Signature Member Lyle Silver

Artist Bio

Lyle Silver moved to the Northwest after studying fine art at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and then graduated from the Edison School of Commercial Art in Seattle, Washington. After full time employment in the commercial field, Silver became a freelance courtroom artist for local and national news, which allowed him time to pursue a painting career.

Showing extensively in Seattle and throughout the Northwest, Silver's paintings have won numerous awards and are represented in many private and corporate collections. Although Silver has for many years cultivated the skill of accurate drawing, his paintings have become progressively more impressionistic with ventures into pure abstraction.

He is past president of the Northwest Watercolor Society, past president of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters and a former member of the Northwest Pastel Society. He and his wife Lois, who is also an artist, currently work from their studio home in West Seattle. Lyle is represented by Patricia Rovzar Gallery in Seattle, Washington.
