Join us in welcoming new Signature Member Nicky Oberholtzer to the Puget Sound Group!

To me, an artist is a person who exults in life and has a message to share with others. Some artists dwell on the dark, the negative and the bizarre. Others, like myself, choose to share a vision of hope, joy, expectation and discovery, not to mention . . . a sense of humor.

Our world is a source for adventures in sight, sound and experience. My goal is to capture the excitement of this world and share the experience of that life through my art. It can happen through capturing the flick of a whale's tail, the twisting of a torso or by manipulating form and light.

Our world is so computerized and tactile-poor compared to our past. If my work causes just one person to reach out and interact with my art, in spite of society having engrained in us that we should NOT touch sculpture, I have succeeded.
