Landscape Paintings in Oils
Fountainhead Gallery, Seattle, WA
November 5 - 28, 2015
Opening reception: Saturday, Nov. 7th, 4 - 8 pm
From PSG Signature Member Michele Rushworth:
Many of you know of me as a portrait artist, but the truth is, I've been painting landscapes longer than I've been painting portraits - more than 30 years. And in some ways, it's always been my first love when it comes to painting.
I'm excited to invite you to join me on Saturday afternoon, November 7, from 4 to 8 pm for the opening reception of my first solo landscape show.
The exhibition, which will be held at Fountainhead Gallery in the Queen Anne district of Seattle, will run from Nov. 5 through 28. It will feature roughly 25 of my newest paintings, all inspired by living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
I've named the show "Northwest Waterways." Many of the paintings were inspired by the things I see near our new home on Camano Island. I paint these images to capture the soaring, joyful feelings I have when I’m outdoors, to preserve the memories of those feelings for myself and have them at home with me, whenever I look at the paintings. More importantly, I paint because I want to share the joy that I experience with others.
I'll be at the opening reception on November 7 and hope to see you there!
