Alan Newberg is a full time artist working in Kitsap County, Washington. He has exhibited widely throughout the United States in museums, art centers, and galleries. His work has won awards and honors in numerous professional competitions including several first place and best of shows. Major examples of his work can be found in a number of public and corporate art collections including The Yellowstone Museum of Art in Billings, MT, The Butler Museum of American Art in Youngstown, OH, and The Ninth District Federal Reserve Bank, in Minneapolis, MN. Alan’s studio is in Bremerton, WA where he is a member the Collective Visions Gallery and is the chief organizer of the CVG Show a state wide juried art competition. He has over 40 years of experience teaching college level art, holds a B.A. from Sioux Falls College, an M.A. from the University of Wyoming, and an M.F.A. from the University of Oregon.
