Clark Ocampo

Clark Ocampo (b. 1997) is a representational artist based in Seattle, WA who is inspired by the works of the Old Masters.

Just before March of 2015, Clark was unsure of which career path to take. After much contemplation, he decided to "try" art and see where that could lead him. "After all," he says, "It has always been a hobby for me."

He took his first ever art class in the Spring of 2015 at Highline College in Des Moines, WA under Art Professor Tracy Carrera. While studying there, Clark realized that there was so much more to art. There is beauty in line, value, color, and composition, and through the hands and eyes of a skilled draftsman grand truths can be revealed; reminiscent of the old masters. His exposure to these basics kindled his passion for the arts.

In the Fall of 2015, Clark was accepted into the full-time comprehensive classical program at Georgetown Atelier in Seattle, WA. He is currently studying under distinguished Director and Founder of the Georgetown Atelier, Tenaya Sims.

Clark is the 1st-place winner of the 2016 Seattle Co-Arts Scholarship Award. He is also a scholarship recipient of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists, and was chosen, as one of the youngest recipients, of the John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship as well as the Art Renewal Center (ARC) Scholarship.
